Weapons Tier List

This page ranks human guns and armor in Anomaly Lockdown for the current meta. It is not an official Melder list. Pair it with the SCP tier list so you know what Hume you are shooting, and with SCP-914 recipes so you know which closet gun becomes an AA12.

Headshots deal 1.5x. Shotguns deal 1.1x. Commanders keep infinite reserve on their unique guns. AA12 and M249 are Fine outputs: drop almost any ordinary primary into 914 on Fine and you get one of those two. The Fine knob cannot be changed. The Minigun is an O5 armory piece behind Level 5. TX-08 is a rare primary inside the 966 chamber.

Class-D start at the bottom of this board. MTF Liberators, Chaos Geists, and GRU-P Vanguards start near the top. See Foundation kits and Class-D and Chaos for who actually holds these weapons at spawn.

S-tier primaries

AA12. Fine output. Auto shotgun, 14x6 close (84), 20/20 ammo. Current meta king of LCZ and checkpoint chokes. Shotgun headshots are only 1.1x, so you win by dumping pellets into bodies at short range, not by sniping. Do not take it to a 200-stud Surface lane.

M249. Fine output. 14.4 close damage, 80/160 ammo, slow reload. The other Fine roll. Current meta king of Hume burn and Surface. If 914 hands you this instead of AA12, you play mid-range and you do not peek shotguns.

Minigun. O5 armory. 15.2 close, 300/300, windup, no sprint while held. S-tier when you already have a Level 5 card and a doorway to hold. Not a run gun.

Commander infinite-reserve rifles. Commander SCAR-L (MTF Commander and Chaos Delta Command), Modified AKM (GRU-P Commissar), UNGOC M249, TAR-21 (UIU Commander), Dual P90s (Liberator), Lewis Gun (Vanguard), M110 (Geist). Infinite reserve is the S-tier trait. You reload magazines; you do not scavenge boxes. Current meta treats these as the reason Rare Pity matters.

A-tier primaries

SCAR-L (standard). 18 close damage, 25/100. Highest ordinary rifle hit. Finite reserve keeps it out of S.

AUG. 14 close, 30/120, fast fire. A-tier run-and-gun.

M4A1 and AK47. 12.8 close, 35/140. M4A1 is on the MTF primary table. AK47 is the GRU-P conscript gun and a Fine input. Solid A.

TX-08. Rare 966-chamber roll. 45 close, semi, 12/42. A-tier because it is scarce and it wins long-range headshot fights (1.5x). You do not plan a loadout around finding it.

KS-23M (Serpent’s Patriarch) and The Serpent’s Tooth (Wanderer). Commander/elite shotguns with infinite reserve. A-tier on the Hand kit; they still fight the 1.1x shotgun headshot rule.

B-tier primaries

P90, F2000, Honey Badger, M4A1-S. Common MTF/CI rolls. Fine inputs. Good enough to hold until 914. Liberator’s Dual P90s are the S-tier version of this gun.

Famas. Burst. Fine input. B-tier because the burst cooldown punishes panic sprays.

Striker, XM1014, KSG, Double Barrel. Pre-Fine shotguns. Double Barrel hits 24x6 (144) in the first 37 studs and then falls off. Use them to reach 914, then stop using them.

SG533. 42 damage, 2x headshot, 6/24, 800 stud max. B-tier DMR. Strong on Surface, clumsy in LCZ.

Scorpion (Security Ironclad). Infinite reserve but the user cannot sprint while it is held. B-tier elite gun; the shield is the real elite kit.

Midas Touch (MC&D Director) and Flamethrower (UNGOC Flametrooper). Role guns. B-tier in their kits, not general loot.

C-tier primaries

Kriss Vector, UMP 45, MP5k. SMGs on the Security and MTF tables. Fine inputs. C-tier after the first armory because rifles outrange them.

Anything you would rather feed to 914 than fire is C until Fine returns AA12 or M249.

Secondaries

S-tier secondary: .32 Revolver. 23.2 close with 1.75x headshots. Backup that actually kills.

A-tier: Desert Eagle (19.2), Mac 10 (auto, Fine output with Deagle and revolver), Modified Mac 10 (Geist, infinite reserve).

B-tier: USP-S, Glock 18, M93R, Beretta. Common spawns. O5 Members spawn with USP-S. Fine inputs that can roll a Deagle, Mac 10, revolver, or a random primary.

C-tier: Taser. One shot, Shock, 1/3 ammo. Utility, not a gunfight.

Melees and armor

Knife is the only melee with a grab execute on targets at or under 400 max HP. Baton knockdowns non-SCP victims at or under 500 HP when charged. Stunstick Shocks under the same HP cap. Metal Pipe is the Fine melee output. Crowbar (Engineer) and Broom (Janitor) are tools you replace. Liberator Super Martial Fists during Rage Stims are the elite melee exception.

Body armor current meta: Heavy Armor Suit 70% (slow), Braced Armor 45%, Tactical Vest 20% (standard reinforcement), Light Vest 15%, Hi-Vis 10% plus flashlight, Hazmat 15%. Riot Shield is a separate bullet wall, not a vest. Head: Heavy Mask 70%, Braced Helmet 45%, Hierophant Mask 35%, most faction helmets 20%, Guard Helmet 15%. Armor is not additive; it only covers the piece you wear. Night vision (N) on NVG and RRH Commando headgear reveals 966 and cuts fog.

914 Fine upgrades Guard Helmet to Reinforced Helmet, Hi-Vis or Light Vest toward Tactical Vest, grenades toward Frag, Vitamins toward Medkit, and Medkit toward SCP-500. Keycards climb toward Level 5 or Omni. Site Manager Keycard (4) becomes a Level 2 if you are foolish enough to refine it.

914 Fine path, short version

  1. Loot any Fine-input primary in LCZ (closet, Light Armory, or a dead Guard).
  2. Walk it into 914 Intake. Fine is locked. Do not stand outside arguing about Rough.
  3. Take AA12 or M249. If you wanted the other one, you gamble a second gun, not the first.
  4. Secondaries go in if you still have time before 18:35. Melees become a Pipe. Cards go up. Heal items go up.

O5 armory (Level 5) is the other S-tier sink: AA12, M249, Minigun, Heavy Armor, Frags. MC&D Hacking Devices cheat that door. Everyone else needs a 5, an Omni, or a very dead O5.

For combat scripts and bind reminders, see the combat toolkit. For zone routes to 914 and the O5 rooms, see map zones and how to survive. Back to the tier list hub when you need the SCP column again.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Are AA12 and M249 always the best guns?

They are the current-meta Fine outputs. AA12 wins close. M249 wins Hume burn and range. A Commander infinite-reserve rifle can match them because it never goes dry. This is opinion, not an official chart.

Where do I get a Minigun or TX-08?

Minigun is on a bench in the O5 armory (Level 5) in Heavy Containment. TX-08 is a rare random primary inside the 966 chamber (Level 4). Neither is a 914 Fine output.

Do shotgun headshots match rifle headshots?

No. Headshots are 1.5x on most guns and only 1.1x on shotguns. SG533 and a few elite rifles use 2x. Plan AA12 as a body gun.

Why do Commander guns sit in S-tier?

Infinite reserve. MTF Commander and Chaos Delta Command SCAR-L, GRU-P Modified AKM, UNGOC M249, Liberator Dual P90s, Geist M110, Vanguard Lewis Gun. You reload; you do not starve.

Should Class-D skip 914 and just grab a Vector?

No. Class-D sit at the bottom of this board until Fine. The Class-D and Chaos page is the route. Feed the Vector to 914.

Does armor stack with a helmet?

No. Resistance applies to the piece that got hit. A 70% Heavy Suit does not make your unhelmeted head a 70% head. Pair Braced or Heavy body with a real helmet, then go fight SCPs from the SCP tier list.
