Pity Chance Settings

Pity chance is the lobby system that biases your next role in Anomaly Lockdown. It is not a percentage. The four tracks are Staff, Guard, Rare, and SCP. Each one is a stacked value that can climb to a max of 500 (the cap landed in the 13 August 2026 patch). When the round starts, the server reads those tracks, then assigns Class-D, scientists, Security, SCPs, and the rarer commander and elite kits.

This page is the field manual. Pair it with the tools hub and with SCP-914 if you still spawn in cells.

The four tracks

Staff. Pulls facility-side humans that are not the Security stack: scientists, Engineer, Doctor, Janitor, and the Logistician added on 14 August 2026. If you like cards, 914, and escorting to Gate B, raise Staff and keep Guard lower.

Guard. Biases Security Department spawns in the Entrance Zone armory: Lieutenant plus Guards. Useful if you want guns at minute zero and you already know Foundation play.

Rare. At round start it biases the Site Manager if Electrical Center generated. On later waves it feeds commander and elite-style rolls: UIU Commander (TAR-21 as of 29 August 2026), Serpent’s Patriarch (KS-23M as of 25 August 2026), and other rare kits. Allied factions also respect an elite cap of 2. Pumping Rare does not let one team flood elites. Chaos Insurgency at Gate A’s hangar is a separate rare spawn, not this slider.

SCP. Biases the delayed HCZ spawn at 18:35. Up to five SCPs in Containment Breach, more in 05 Rescue. This is the track the 2x SCP chance gamepass (1250 Robux) doubles after a played round. It does not touch Staff, Guard, or Rare.

Class-D remains the default leftover. If every track is low or disabled, expect cells in LCZ and a broom. That is a valid night; just plan how to escape.

Disable, reset, and the 500 cap

The panel can disable pity so the server ignores your stored values for a round. Use disable when you want a chaotic Class-D lobby or when you are teaching a friend getting started without stealing their Staff roll.

Reset zeroes the tracks. Reset after a long SCP streak if you want humans again, or after you hit 500 and the extra stack is doing nothing. The cap is 500; filling past that is wasted.

Do not treat 500 as 100 percent. Two players at 500 SCP still compete with server caps (five SCPs in a normal breach). High pity is a bias, not a reservation.

Doubling after a played round

If you played the round, every pity track you are using doubles at round end. That is the core loop: play, double, play again. Sitting in the lobby through intermission does not count. Dying at 19:40 and spectating to the warhead does count if you spawned and participated.

The 2x SCP pass stacks on the SCP track only. After a played round, SCP pity doubles from the normal rule, and owners of the pass double that SCP gain again. It is expensive compared with VIP. Buy it only if SCP is the whole reason you queue.

AFK mode

AFK mode is how you stay in a server without taking a role. Use it when you are grabbing water, not when you are trying to farm 500 SCP. An AFK session should not count as a played round, so you should not see a double. If you leave AFK on by accident, you skip the fun and the stack.

Do not mix AFK with a combat toolkit. Idling with ESP is still exploiting, and the 24 August 2026 rules board is a permanent unappealable ban, including for people who play with exploiters.

After you set the panel, vote Containment Breach or 05 Rescue. 05 Rescue changes opening roles (more 05 Members, delayed Class-D breachers, extra SCPs) but still reads pity.

Common mistakes

  • Reading the sliders as percents and wondering why 80 SCP did not guarantee 966-Zenith.
  • Maxing all four tracks so they cancel into noise.
  • Buying 2x SCP, then AFK farming.
  • Expecting pity to hand you an Omni card. Cards still come from loot and SCP-914.
  • Looking for a codes box that changes pity. The codes hub is empty.

Official news for slider bugs still goes through the Melder Studios group and NVZ Legions, not a dedicated AL Discord. When a patch touches pity, it will also land on patch notes. Until then, treat 500 as the ceiling, play the round if you want the double, and leave AFK off unless you truly stepped away.

Set the four tracks on purpose, spawn, and let the doubling do the slow work. That is the entire legit reroll system in this early-development build.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Are Anomaly Lockdown pity chances percentages?

No. Staff, Guard, Rare, and SCP are stacked values with a max of 500. High values bias a roll; they do not reserve a slot.

When does pity double?

After a round you actually played. AFK mode and lobby-only sits should not grant the double.

What does the 2x SCP chance pass change?

It doubles SCP pity gain per played round. It does not raise Staff, Guard, or Rare, and it does not raise the 500 cap.

How do I stop getting Guard or SCP?

Lower or disable those tracks, or reset. Disable is the clean way to play leftover Class-D for a 914 night.

Does Rare pity ignore the elite cap?

No. Allied factions still cap elites at 2, a rule from the 13 August 2026 patch.

Can a script set pity to max?

Do not try. The scripts hub and 24 August 2026 rules board make exploiting a permanent unappealable ban.
